An exquisite one of a kind rainbow precious crystal fire opal and diamond platinum ring, 1.15 cttw.

The natural untreated precious crystal fire opal here has intense splashes in every color of the rainbow with a predominance of intense peacock blues and greens and also bright red the most valuable color. In the shade this precious opal is gentle and subued without much play of color visible. In bright light the play of color is simply astonishing - it is just so lively, so bright and so mesmerizing!

This rare and valuable untreated solid precious fire opal has a lovely high polish and is a traditional cabochon measuring 7.73mm by 6.22mm by 3.57mm and weighing 1.05 carat.

There is 0.10 carats of untreated natural diamonds VS clarity and G/H/I in color.

The total opal and diamond weight is 1.15 carats.

Inside the shank a pt900 stamp for platinum, this confirmed by testing.

The opal and diamond set cluster measures 5/16" along by 1/2" wide and rises 3/8" high off the finger (8mm, 13.5mm, 9mm).

The style and proportions of this ring are very elegant and beautifully showcase the stunning one of a kind precious fire opal.

It is a size 5 3/4 US (L Australian/UK) and is sizable within a range.

It is in lovely vintage condition and is ready to gift or to wear.

The photos form part of the description. Like all colored stones there is a color variation that occurs in different lighting conditions both inside but also outside, even the time of day can make the color of a stone appear a little different. We do our best to show colors as we see them. Color perception is highly individual and some people can perceive more colors than others, also colors can appear somewhat different on different screens and devices due to variations in screen hardware and device display settings. When you see this ring in person the play of color will look different outside, inside and in every lighting condition and in every angle! That is the beauty of course of this exceptionally rare natural gemstone. We do our very best to show every piece accurately in our listings and take photos in daylight equivalent lighting conditions.

Comment
Unfortunately in the last 15 years most opal has been mined from Ethiopia. This opal whilst beautiful is unstable. It can lose it’s color and go cloudy and has a tendency to craze, crack and break. We do not sell Ethiopian opal.
