This one of a kind modernist gold brooch is an eye catching piece. It is entirely made by hand. The hand wrought gold has beautiful textures and is pierced in an intricate design that reminds me of butterfly wings. It's such an iconic piece from the era!
It measures 1 7/16" wide by 1 5/16" tall (37mm x 34mm).
On the reverse it is clearly stamped 333 meaning solid 8K yellow gold. This confirmed by testing. It weighs 4.06 grams. This is a great weight for a brooch allowing it to be worn in any season on any weight fabric including your lightest weight blouse.
