A custom made one of a kind 1950s natural untreated earth mined A-Type jadeite and fine white diamond hand made ring in 18K white gold.
This exceptional mid-century ring is a custom hand made piece which is one of a kind. The central A-type jadeite cabochon is translucent and has exceptional vivid green color. It sits in a beautiful setting which is reminiscent of butterflies and bows that is set with the finest quality VS D diamonds.
The beautiful jadeite jade in this handmade vintage ring is untreated. Apart from normal cutting and polishing it is as mined. These days most jade seen in modern rings has been acid treated, soaked in plastic resin and dyed. Untreated jade is immensely more valuable than modern treated jade.
In total the ring weighs 6.02 grams. It is signed STC inside the shank.
The jadeite cabochon weighs 3.05 carats in total as estimated in the setting. There are 50 points of exceptional white diamonds.
This makes the total diamond and fine jade weight 3.55 carats.
The ring measures 11/16" long down the finger and is 5/8" wide (18.1mm x 15.5mm). It rises 1/2" above the finger when worn 12.4mm).
Currently this beautiful ring is a size 5 3/4 USA sizing. It can be resized to any size required at little cost.
