Here we have a superb custom hand made jade diamond ring circa 1960. This jadeite ring is set with vivid green A Type untreated jadeite jade cabochons and diamonds.

The beautiful jadeite jade in this handmade vintage ring is untreated. Apart from normal cutting and polishing it is as mined. These days most jade seen in modern rings has been acid treated, soaked in plastic resin and dyed. Untreated jade is immensely more valuable than modern treated jade.

The cluster is beautifully designed and is reminiscent of bamboo. It sits quite high off the hand and really pops with the intense color of the jade in contrast to the fine white diamonds and luxurious yellow gold.

It is a size 5 US and is sizable within a range.

There are 0.15 carats of fine white diamonds G VS/SI (mainly VS), these are old cut and sparkly like crazy!

The jadeite weight is estimated at 2.16 carats. The jadeite cabochons are well matched between the set and are an intense stunning green throughout!

This makes the total jade and diamond weight here 2.31 carats as estimated in the setting without removing any stones.

Inside the shank there is a 585 metal fineness mark, meaning solid 14 karat yellow gold this confirmed of course by testing.

The weight of this one of a kind jade ring is 5.35 grams.

It measures approximately 13/16" along the finger 3/8" high off the finger (21mm, 10mm). This is a statement sized cluster ring which rises a little higher off the finger making it ideal for a cocktail ring!

The workmanship to make this ring and the quality of the setting is superb. This is a very special ring custom made in the mid century period.

It is in beautiful condition being ready to gift or to wear!

An Appraisal is included with your purchase of this heirloom ring.

We will ship in a presentation box for safe keeping.

The photos form part of the description. Like all colored stones there is a color variation that occurs in different lighting conditions both inside but also outside, even the time of day can make the color of a stone appear a little different. We do our best to show colors as we see them. Color perception is highly individual and some people can perceive more colors than others, also colors can appear somewhat different on different screens and devices due to variations in screen hardware and device display settings.
