A one of a kind custom hand made unique vibrant untreated green jade and diamond 14K gold ring circa 1970.
This is a wonderful genuine mid century period modernist artistic geometric jade and diamond cluster ring. This piece is traditionally handmade, the workmanship very fine.
The stunning large geometric jade and diamond cluster is lovely to look at from every angle and measures approximately 13/16" long by 5/8" wide by 1/2" high (20mm x 16mm x 12mm). It certainly makes a big splash on the hand with stunning sparkle and color POP!
In addition to these sparkly diamonds there are 5 natural green jadeite jade cabochons each measuring on average 4.5mm by 4.5mm by 1.7 mm and weighing on average each 30 points as estimated in the setting. These fine precious stones are beautifully matched for color and are translucent. The beautiful untreated emerald green colored jadeite jade in this handmade vintage ring is untreated. Apart from normal cutting and polishing it is as mined. Untreated jade is immensely more valuable than modern treated jade. The total jade weight is 1.50 carats
There are 12 2.1 mm single cut F/G color VS/SI fine white earth mined sparkly diamonds which are grain set in this ring. The total diamond weight is 0.42 carats.
The total jade and diamond weight is 1.92 carats.
Inside the shank it is marked 14K 585 meaning solid 14 Karat gold, this confirmed by testing. It weighs 7.8 grams.
This vintage green jadeite and diamond ring is sizable to any size required and is currently a size 5 1/2 US. It is sizable within a range.

Today we rarely see this quality and sadly most "handmade" rings are cast then polished but not handmade at all and were manufactured using CAD computer imaging design software with molds printed and cast.
