Here we have a super pair of one of a kind natural earth mined unheated untreated deep midnight black sapphire 14K gold earrings.

Together the pair weigh 3.3 grams. They are marked clearly on the butterfly fittings 585 meaning solid 14 karat yellow gold, this confirmed by professional testing.

The total carat weight of sapphires is 2.7 carats with the sapphires weighing respectively 1.3 and 1.4 carats each a lovely sized stone.

These wonderful earrings are handmade and date to the 1950s. The floral inspired settings with delicate lace like scalloped details in solid gold are one of a kind and very pretty. The workmanship here is very fine- you just don't see handmade settings like this today.

The earrings are slightly different between the pair consistent with handmade earrings and especially in the case of nice size sapphires being selected for color and weight there are often slight differences in dimensions between the set stones. Here the differences are small and not visible when they are on the ears- for accuracy one earring measures 10.2mm by 9.1mm wide and the other 9.5mm by 9.2mm wide.

The pair are cut nicely and have super sparkle looking ever so pretty on.

They are in lovely vintage condition, present beautifully and are ready to gift or to wear.

We will provide a free appraisal for these unique mid century sapphire earrings.

The pair will ship in a presentation box for safe keeping.

The photos form part of the description. Like all colored stones there is a color variation that occurs in different lighting conditions both inside but also outside, even the time of day can make the color of a stone appear a little different. We do our best to show colors as we see them. Color perception is highly individual and some people can perceive more colors than others, also colors can appear somewhat different on different screens and devices due to variations in screen hardware and device display settings.
