A one of a kind antique genuine Art Deco period traditionally handmade gorgeous diamond and sapphire platinum engagement ring circa 1920, 1.65 carats total gem weight (1.01 carat central unheated untreated natural diamond).

This ring is really beautiful on the hand with lots of sparkle and dispersion from the old cut diamonds! It is a one of a kind period ring which is so rare to see today. Such genuine antiques can't be compared to modern 'Art Deco style' reproductions that are commonly available. Genuine period antiques such as this traditionally handmade period ring are much more valuable and of course very collectible.

I adore the unique design of this ring, there is an elegance and femininity to it and the sapphires to me look like beautiful blue ribbons. This ring is all about old world elegance, charm and grace. It is feminine, timeless and very sophisticated.

The central 1.01 carat unheated untreated natural diamond is a transition cut Art Deco period diamond with beautiful proportions, it is VS1 clarity, I/J in color (6.45mm- 6.42mm x 3.92mm).

There are 0.43 carats of round faceted unheated untreated natural diamonds, I/J color VS clarity

The are 0.20 carats of unheated untreated deep blue sapphires.

This makes the total weight of fine diamonds is 1.44 carats.

The total diamond and sapphire weight is 1.64 carats.

The diamond set cluster measures 1/2" by 1/2" (12 x12mm). Diamonds and sapphires are set a further 1/4" on each shoulder of the ring (7mm).

This exquisite one of a kind genuine Art Deco period ring is a size 8 3/4 US. It can be resized within a range.

It is in good antique condition and is ready to gift or to wear.

Testing confirms solid platinum. This ring weighs 3.59 grams.

The photos form part of the description. Like all colored stones there is a color variation that occurs in different lighting conditions both inside but also outside, even the time of day can make the color of a stone appear a little different. We do our best to show colors as we see them. Color perception is highly individual and some people can perceive more colors than others, also colors can appear somewhat different on different screens and devices due to variations in screen hardware and device display settings.
