An astonishing handmade early 1940s handmade Art Deco filigree natural precious fire opal and sparkly old cut diamond ring.

This ring is beautifully crafted. The entire ring is handmade with no cast or machined components. It is a one of a kind custom made ring from the late Art Deco period.

In total it weighs approximately 5.7 grams.

Inside the shank it is marked clearly 14K and professional testing confirms the same.

There are 32 single cut sparkly earth mined diamonds set into the floriate motif setting. These hand cut natural diamonds are VS/SI clarity and G/H in color.

There is a total diamond weight of 0.42 carats.

The beautiful natural untreated Mexican opal measures approximately 10.06mm x 7.5mm x 5.2mm and weighs 2.5 carats as estimated in the setting.

The total opal and diamond weight here is 2.92 carats.

All the stones are hand set not cast in place as you would see in most modern jewelry.

The ring measures approximately 13/16" wide by 5/8" long along the finger and rises 3/8" off the finger (20mm x 16mm x 9mm).

What takes your breath away literally with this ring is how beautiful and unique it looks from every angle. It is an exuberant very feminine ring. Two words come to mind for me "elegance" and "joy".

This pretty ring is a size 5 1/2 US. It is sizable within a range.

It is in lovely condition and is ready to gift or to wear. It presents beautifully.

A full appraisal accompanies this special ring.

It shall be sent in a presentation box for safe keeping.

The photos form part of the description. They have been taken in a daylight equivalent light tent. Precious opal does look different in different lighting conditions such as outdoors, indoors, bright light or subdued light. The play of color constantly changes. We do are our very best to present the opal accurately in our photos
