This beautiful ring is hard to display in static photographs as the play of color in the precious opal constantly shifts. The video shows the play of color when a light source is moved in a circle around the opal. The play of color also varies in different types of lighting conditions and with different types or numbers of lights! In very bright light violet and blue can be seen, in other lighting conditions there is a predominance of green yellow and vivid orange. Of course like all precious opals, with little light or no direct light the play of color is much subdued. The body tone of the opal is orange but varies as the amount of green and yellow in the play of color can in some lighting conditions make the body color more subdued in appearance. The play of color in this unique precious opal has patterns that vary a lot in different lighting conditions which is an exciting feature of this particular opal. At 2.70 carats this is a large untreated natural precious crystal fire opal indeed! Making it perfect for a unique engagement ring or special occasion ring.
