This is an astonishing spinel ring! The dazzling spinel is of exceptional color and clarity and sparkles so much and the setting is a custom hand made tension setting designed just to showcase this divine unheated untreated peach pink spinel!
One side of the ring is high polish the other side textured satin finish. The edges of the ring are high polish.
The spinel is a desirable and valuable Mahenge spinel. The rare natural untreated unheated spinel measures 5.25mm by 3.99mm by 2.60mm and weighs 0.40 carats.
The gold tapers from thick to thin around the finger in a sensuous loop. The width of the gold of the band ranges from 2.8mm next to the spinel to 1.3mm underneath that.
This spinel ring is currently a size 5 1/4 US. There are makers marks on the side of the setting for 14K gold. It weighs 5.74 grams, a very nice weight for a ring. This ring cannot be resized much if at all.

Today we rarely see this quality and sadly most "handmade" rings are cast then polished but not handmade at all and were manufactured using CAD computer imaging design software with molds printed and cast. Stones can even be cast in place and not even set by hand! That means the stones are likely to be lost and the claws are brittle and uneven. These CAD rings do not have the quality of handmade gold rings and are unlikely to be able to be passed onto future generations but rather will be scrapped because of the porosity of the metal and other factors of casting using this cheap technology. This handmade ring is quality and will stand the test of time. It is an heirloom jewel like no other perfect in it's uniqueness quality and elegance for a special celebration ring!
