The spinel is a desirable and valuable Mahenge spinel. The rare natural untreated unheated spinel measures 5.25mm by 3.99mm by 2.60mm and weighs 0.40 carats as estimated in the setting.
There are makers marks on the side of the setting.
The gold tapers from thick to thin around the finger in a sensuous loop. The width of the gold of the band ranges from 2.8mm next to the spinel to 1.3mm underneath that.
This spinel ring is currently a size 5 1/4 US. This ring cannot be resized.
