This vivid glowing red natural ruby ring is exuberant yet delicate and feminine all at once. When I first saw it it reminded me straight away of a bunch of the most beautiful red roses! The astonishing untreated natural rubies are perfectly matched in color and arranged just like a gorgeous corsage or bouquet. The rubies are set in a pleasing asymmetrical arrangement that makes the red pop against the white diamonds and white gold. The carefully and artistically designed handmade setting makes use of an exceptionally feminine floriate themed leaf and stem design which sparkles like crazy with white old cut diamond accents as the perfect backdrop to the exuberance and pure luxury of the red red rubies!
The detail is superb in this bouquet ruby and diamond ring from every angle you look it is so pretty yet so exotic and eye catching. I adore the filigree details that are delicate appearing like lace adorning the sides of the cluster. It's a joy to look at this piece. The cluster itself measures 11/16" long down the finger and rises 7/16" high off the hand (17.7mm x 10.3mm). It does make a big splash on the hand for a delicate ring.
Currently a size 5 US this ring lends itself well to resizing.
Inside the shank there is a 14K metal fineness stamp meaning solid 14 karat white gold this confirmed by testing. The ring weighs 4.95 grams approximately.

Unfortunately, in the last two decades many rubies seen in modern jewelry have had the color induced by high temperature heating in chemicals such as beryllium. This is called diffusion treatment and includes surface diffusion, bulk diffusion, lattice diffusion and deep diffusion. There are also sapphires treated heavily with beryllium treatment to imitate rubies. In recent years rubies have been clarity enhanced by filling any fissures or cracks with molten lead glass, sometimes the glass is colored as well, with time the filler falls out or goes cloudy ruining the stone. Polymer resins can be used in a similar way. Oftentimes this clarity enhancement may appear on certificates as the note(s) “residues” or “minor residues” or perhaps “foreign substance”. Colored coatings can be applied to the back of a ruby. These treatments are unacceptable and such treated stones are of very low value. We do not sell rubies with these treatments.
