An astonishing mid century vivid pink unheated untreated natural sapphire and sparkly fine white diamond engagement or dress ring.

This stunning natural pink sapphire ring is that one of a kind heirloom piece that can never be replaced. The central astonishing loupe clean vivid pretty pink sapphire is completely unheated. This collectors gem is a marquise cut making it appear even larger than it's actual weight.

It's hard to stop staring at this amazing 1950s custom made sapphire engagement ring. The color contrast between the fine diamonds and the central bubblegum pink sapphire is absolutely divine. It is even more eye catching because of the unique slightly asymmetrical double tiered diamond setting accenting the precious pink sapphire. The stones are both baguette cuts and round brilliant cuts making the setting unique and adding so much more sparkle!

The central sapphire measures 8mm long and is 4mm wide. It weighs 0.60 carats.

In total there are 0.69 carats of sparkly diamonds. All these gorgeous accent diamonds are VS clarity except a single smaller round cut diamond which is SI. They are G/H/I in color and have each been set by a master diamond setter.

The total diamond and sapphire weight is 1.29 carats.

This divine vintage engagement ring is currently a size 7 1/4 US sizing. It can be sized to almost any size required with ease.

The precious sapphire and white diamond set cluster measures 11/16" long by 7/16" wide by 3/8" tall (17mm, 11mm x 9mm).

It is in lovely condition and is ready to gift or to wear.

Full appraisal documents will accompany this rare sapphire and diamond engagement ring.

We will ship in a presentation box ready for gifting and for safe keeping.

Unfortunately, in the last two decades many sapphires seen in modern jewelry have had the color induced by high temperature heating in chemicals such as beryllium. This is called diffusion treatment and includes surface diffusion, bulk diffusion, lattice diffusion, deep diffusion and beryllium treatment. In recent years sapphires have been clarity enhanced by filling any fissures or cracks with molten lead glass, sometimes the glass is colored as well, with time the filler falls out or goes cloudy ruining the stone. Polymer resins can be used in a similar way. Colored coatings can be applied to the back of a sapphire. These treatments are unacceptable and such treated stones are of very low value. We do not sell sapphires with these treatments.

The photos form part of the description. Like all colored stones there is a color variation that occurs in different lighting conditions both inside but also outside, even the time of day can make the color of a stone appear a little different. We do our best to show colors as we see them. Color perception is highly individual and some people can perceive more colors than others, also colors can appear somewhat different on different screens and devices due to variations in screen hardware and device display settings.
