Here we have a playful custom made natural multi-gemstone luxury bombe ring in 14K gold circa 1970. This dazzling colorful masterpiece was custom made and is one of a kind!
The entire domed surface of this spectacular custom made ring is set with tutti frutti colored cabochon cut, round cut and oval cut natural gems. There are seventeen (17) in total! These include: natural earth mined untreated gems including natural green peridot, natural precious coral, natural Australian precious white opal, natural lapis lazuli, natural turquoise, natural aventurine quartz, natural prase, natural smoky quartz, natural amethyst, natural topaz and natural garnets.
The colors are beautiful and at the center and top of the whole cluster this stunning natural Australian opal has intense sparks of red which is the most precious color of the spectrum for precious natural opal!
In total there are 13.8 carats of gems in this unique gold ring!
It is a size 7 3/4 US (P Australian/UK sizing). Sizing is possible within a range only please ask about your size!
This luxurious ring weighs 11 grams approximately. Inside the shank there is a 14K gold stamp meaning solid 14 Karat yellow gold this confirmed by testing.
Special indeed, this ring is handmade! Today we rarely see this quality and sadly most "handmade" rings are cast then polished but not handmade at all and were manufactured using CAD computer imaging design software with molds printed and cast. Stones can even be cast in place and not even set by hand! That means they are likely to be lost and the claws are brittle and uneven. These CAD rings do not have the quality of handmade gold rings and are unlikely to be able to be passed onto future generations but rather will be scrapped because of the porosity of the metal and other factors of casting using this cheap technology. This handmade ring is quality and will stand the test of time. It is an heirloom jewel like no other.
This is an exuberant and fun rainbow ring and would make a perfect statement cocktail ring or a perfect birthstone ring for someone who loves gems!
