Here we have a superb natural marquise cut red ruby and sparkly diamond baguette ring in 14K circa 1970.

The style of this ring is so eye catching! It is asymmetric almost looking like a double lightning strike. The stones too are staggered and rise in a pyramid or tiara shape over the finger looking stunning from every angle.

The total gem ruby weight of the seven hand set rubies here is 1.54 carats.

There is 0.22 carats of VS/SI G/H color tapered baguette diamonds. The 22 diamonds are very pretty and are channel set into a flowing ribbon motif.

In total there is 1.76 carats of precious rubies and sparkly diamonds in this gorgeous estate ruby ring. The carat weight make this ideal for a special ruby engagement ring or an heirloom quality ruby anniversary ring.

Inside the shank there are several makers marks and a metal fineness mark of 14K. Professional testing confirms 14K yellow gold.

It weighs approximately 3.8 grams.

Currently this wonderful natural no heat ruby ring is a size 6 1/4 US. It can be resized within a range.

This pretty ring is in lovely condition and is ready to gift or to wear.

An Appraisal Report shall accompany this ring.

We shall ship in a presentation box ready for gifting.

The photos form part of the description of this natural ruby ring. Please note that rubies will look slightly different colors in different lighting Unfortunately, in the last two decades many rubies seen in modern jewelry and rubies set as replacements in vintage and antique jewelry have had the color induced by high temperature heating in chemicals such as beryllium. This is called diffusion treatment and includes surface diffusion, bulk diffusion, lattice diffusion and deep diffusion. There are also sapphires treated heavily with beryllium treatment to imitate rubies. In recent years rubies have been clarity enhanced by filling any fissures or cracks with molten lead glass, sometimes the glass is colored as well, with time the filler falls out or goes cloudy ruining the stone. Polymer resins can be used in a similar way. Oftentimes this clarity enhancement may appear on certificates as the note(s) “residues” or “minor residues” or perhaps “foreign substance”. Colored coatings can be applied to the back of a ruby. These treatments are unacceptable and such treated stones are of very low value. We do not sell rubies with these treatments.

The photos form part of the description. Like all colored stones there is a color variation that occurs in different lighting conditions both inside but also outside, even the time of day can make the color of a stone appear a little different. We do our best to show colors as we see them. Color perception is highly individual and some people can perceive more colors than others, also colors can appear somewhat different on different screens and devices due to variations in screen hardware and device display settings.
