A rare pair of early Victorian cow bone natural pearl and 18 karat gold earrings from Dieppe France.

Each carved cow bone drop is a beautiful mirror image of the other earring.

This is a detail which you only see in fine quality jewelry. The carvings which would have been made in Dieppe, France are of a rose and lily bouquet. In the language of flowers these carvings sent the message "I love you so much you've made my life happy and complete". They are exceptionally romantic.

This fine pair of earrings measure 2" long including the hooks and are 7/8" wide (50mm x 22mm).

Together they weigh 5.17 grams.

There is some variation in color to the patina of the cow bone carvings which is to be expected for a genuine pair of earrings over 150 years old.

They are in good antique condition as shown and are ready to gift or to wear.

An exceptionally pretty pair of genuine 19th century earrings so gorgeous and feminine what a perfect gift or treat.

The photos form part of the description. Like all colored stones there is a color variation that occurs in different lighting conditions both inside but also outside, even the time of day can make the color of a stone appear a little different. We do our best to show colors as we see them. Color perception is highly individual and some people can perceive more colors than others, also colors can appear somewhat different on different screens and devices due to variations in screen hardware and device display settings.
