The ruby is an unheated, completely untreated natural Burmese ruby as it was mined.
This unique fine red earth mined ruby and diamond ring really took my breath away today when I saw it to write this description. It wasn't just the amazing color of the central ruby which looked so luxurious against the perfectly white diamond accents..but also the unique mid century styling of this pretty ring. The diamonds embrace the central stunning red ruby from each side and the effect is just beautiful. Actually I haven't ever seen a setting done like this one before it's a one of a kind piece from the period. I slipped it on my hand and found it looked even nicer than when I was holding it. It even felt beautiful to wear if only for a second to write about it for you.
I have a real passion for beautiful colored gems so this ruby stood out in all the work I was doing today because of how clean it is (it is asbolutely loupe clean), perfectly cut and the color is a really intense vermilion saturated red.
