A gorgeous estate intense cornflower blue Ceylon sapphire and fine white diamond cluster ring crafted from solid 14K yellow gold.

This special ring is set with an absolutely beautiful unheated fine Ceylon sapphire of 1.08 carats in weight. The sensational precious center gem is surrounded by fine earth mined white diamonds in both baguette and round brilliant cuts. As you can see from the photos the contrast between the saturated vivid cornflower blue of the sapphire and the startling white diamonds is absolutely stunning.

In total this fine vintage ring weighs 4.25 grams.

Measuring the face of the ring itself it is 7/16" long down the finger and it rises 5/16" high off the finger (10.6mm, 8.2mm).

It is in lovely condition and is ready to gift or to wear.

A detailed description of the precious gems set in this fine ring are as follows:
* a single claw set oval cut intense cornflower blue Ceylon sapphire measuring 7.22mm by 5.35mm by 3.40mm and weighing 1.15 carats, there is no evidence of heat treatment to this gem

There are 0.39 carats of VS/SI F/G accent diamonds.

The total weight of the beautiful blue Ceylon sapphire and fine diamonds is 1.54 carats.

Currently this pretty ring is a size 5 1/4 to 5 3/8 USA sizing. It can be resized.

A beautiful ring, this piece would make an ideal engagement ring especially as the center precious sapphire has more than one carat in weight.

It is rare today to find sapphires of this beautiful color.

The photos form part of the description. Like all colored stones there is a color variation that occurs in different lighting conditions both inside but also outside, even the time of day can make the color of a stone appear a little different. We do our best to show colors as we see them. Color perception is highly individual and some people can perceive more colors than others, also colors can appear somewhat different on different screens and devices due to variations in screen hardware and device display settings.

Unfortunately, in the last two decades many sapphires seen in modern jewelry have had the color induced by high temperature heating in chemicals such as beryllium. This is called diffusion treatment and includes surface diffusion, bulk diffusion, lattice diffusion, deep diffusion and beryllium treatment. In recent years sapphires have been clarity enhanced by filling any fissures or cracks with molten lead glass, sometimes the glass is colored as well, with time the filler falls out or goes cloudy ruining the stone. Polymer resins can be used in a similar way. Colored coatings can be applied to the back of a sapphire. These treatments are unacceptable and such treated stones are of very low value. We do not sell sapphires with these treatments.
