A museum quality one of a kind genuine Qing Dynasty antique Chinese rare mutton fat white jade bangle inlaid in a lotus pond panorama in gold and silver, 17th to 18th century.
An ethereal very beautiful water scene is depicted in precious silver and gold inlays. The whole scene alive and beautiful the fish in the water, the birds flying in pairs the lotus flowers and roots and leaves....it is magical to see and it really takes your mind and heart somewhere else as you look at the beautiful picture exquisitely inlaid in the rare translucent white jade.
It is for a small wrist with the inside circumference measuring 7" and a diameter of just 2 1/4" approximately. It sits approximately 5/8" wide along the arm (178mm, 58mm, 16mm)
It is in lovely antique condition and is ready to gift or to wear. There are some natural inclusions in the fine white nephrite in one place these have been incorporated beautifully in a lotus root and they can be seen as darker areas or more opaque whiter areas almost like clouds in the sky inside the bangle. The translucency of the mutton fat white jade is truly exceptional.
The rare mutton fat white jade is translucent of beautiful quality. The translucency of the jade means that it will light up and become appear more luminous and white as the light passes through the precious gem. In the shade and without light passing through it or lying flat the gem is less luminous and will appear a little darker in color true to the nature of this precious natural gem.
During the early Qing Dynasty white nephrite jade was prized more highly than green jadeite jade. White nephrite being reserved for imperial use. The more translucent, the more white the more valuable the white jade. In fact it wasn't until much later in the Qing dynasty that green jadeite from Burma was introduced and gradually become popular.
The exquisite mutton fat white jade here has some delicate natural inclusions appearing as a tiny delicate cloud inside the bangle and beautifully incorporated within the lotus root.
It is in beautiful condition for it's age and authenticity and is ready to gift or to wear.
