The jade here of exceptional consistency of color and translucency. It catches the light and almost appears to glow. The body of the phoenix is inlaid in incredible detail with pure gold. This color and quality of nephrite jade is as rare and valuable as fei cui jadeite jade. The workmanship is incomparable.
It weighs 72.2 grams.
This exquisite ancient jewel stands 3 5/16" tall by 1 5/8" wide by 9/16" deep approximately (84mm by 42mm by 15mm).
