An exuberant mid century handmade lavender jade sunflower ring set with an untreated A type jadeite cabochon and beautiful sparkly earth mined diamonds and amethysts.

This stunning artisan ring is a one of a kind piece. It is luxurious, bright and big!

The beautiful jadeite jade in this handmade vintage ring is untreated. Apart from normal cutting and polishing it is as mined. These days most jade seen in modern rings has been acid treated, soaked in plastic resin and dyed. Untreated jade is immensely more valuable than modern treated jade.

Made entirely by hand it would have taken a jeweler around 20 hours just to make the setting our of solid gold. This as we all know is something that is so rare to see today in our fast paced world where jewelry is now cast quickly and cheaply rather than being made by hand. This piece with all the beauty and elegance of another time really shines in it's beautiful workmanship and unique style. It's one of a kind!

Today we rarely see this quality and sadly most "handmade" rings are cast then polished but not handmade at all and were manufactured using CAD computer imaging design software with molds printed and cast. Stones can even be cast in place and not even set by hand! That means the stones are likely to be lost and the claws are brittle and uneven. These CAD rings do not have the quality of handmade gold rings and are unlikely to be able to be passed onto future generations but rather will be scrapped because of the porosity of the metal and other factors of casting using this cheap technology. This handmade ring is quality and will stand the test of time. It is an heirloom jewel like no other.

In total there is 8.36 grams of gold in this ring.

A metal fineness mark of 14K has been stamped inside the shank.

This ring is currently a size 6 1/4 US but can be resized within a range.

The lovely sunflower cluster itself measures approximately 15/16" wide and is 1 1/8" long down the finger and it rises 9/16" high off the finger making a big statement when worn (24mm x 28mm x 14mm).

The lovely earth mined gems in this ring include natural amethysts, diamonds and an untreated jadeite jade cabochon in an elegant pale lavender with just a hint of grey.

There are eight 2.1mm round brilliant cut VS clarity G color diamonds each in a handmade setting and claw set by a master diamond setter. Each of these sparkly diamond accents weighs on average 3.5 points as estimated in the setting.

The amethysts are beautifully matched for color and very bright. There are eight of these, each pear cut and measuring on average 5.7mm x 4mm x 2.6mm. These beautiful natural stones have each been claw set and sit in a handmade setting. They each weigh approximately 30 points.

At the center of the large flower we have a hand cut jadeite cabochon which is claw set in a handmade setting. This lovely cab of gem jadeite measures 15.90mm x 12.15mm x 4.65mm and weighs approximately 5.30 carats as estimated from measurements taken in the setting.

This makes the total diamond weight approximately 0.30 carats.

The total weight of amethyst is 2.40 carats.

The jadeite itself is 5.30 carats.

In total the gem weight of all precious stones and diamonds is 8 carats in this heirloom quality ring.

This stunning piece is in lovely condition ready to gift or to wear.

Untreated lavender jade is highly prized as a gemstone which provides spiritual support. It promotes wisdom, intuition and insight. Untreated lavender jadeite though is rare to find with most jadeite available in this color being dyed.

What I love the most about this ring is an amazing sense of both excitement and calm....the sensation of calm exuberance quite takes you away when you put in on your hand.

A full appraisal will be sent with this pretty ring.

It will be sent in a presentation box ready for gifting and for safe keeping.

The photos form part of the description. Like all colored stones there is a color variation that occurs in different lighting conditions both inside but also outside, even the time of day can make the color of a stone appear a little different. We do our best to show colors as we see them. Color perception is highly individual and some people can perceive more colors than others, also colors can appear somewhat different on different screens and devices due to variations in screen hardware and device display settings.
