A spectacular fine quality unheated untreated natural ruby, unheated untreated natural rainbow sapphire and unheated untreated natural diamond solid 14K white gold bracelet, 16.84 cttw.

This exceptional vintage bracelet is set with extra fine gem quality natural unheated untreated natural sapphires and rubies in rainbow colors There is a double row of hand selected perfectly matched high clarity beautifully cut individually hand set sapphires for maximum visual impact. To either side a line of sparkling unheated untreated white diamonds adds the perfect color contrast to the gorgeous natural sapphires.

Unlike the vast majority of rainbow sapphires seen in jewelry these days these sapphires have not been diffused to improve the color and in fact they are entirely unheated and untreated.. It is rare to find rainbow sapphire jewelry which has not been subject to this treatment today and this makes this bracelet exceedingly rare and very special. All the sapphires, all the rubies all the diamonds are completely natural as mother nature made them they are unheated and untreated!. Unheated untreated sapphires and of course unheated untreated rubies are rare today and such gems are worth more than heated or treated sapphires or heated or treated rubies.

In total this piece weighs 20 grams.

It measures 6 3/4" long and is 1/4" wide (171mm x 7mm).

This piece is very sinuous and feels very beautiful on the wrist.

The precious sapphires and diamonds which have each been individually hand set in this luxury bracelet by a master gem setter are as follows:

• 132 12 point calibrated rainbow colored fine gem sapphires, all stones are excellent quality and the smooth graduation of color is very good, with a total sapphire weight of 15.84 carats
• 198 G VS fine natural white diamonds with a total carat weight of 1 carat

This makes the total fine sapphire and diamond weight 16.84 carats.

This gorgeous bracelet has an invisible clasp with safety so when it is worn it looks like a seamless band of rainbow sapphires and diamonds with no visible clasp.

An Appraisal Report and Gem Report is included with your purchase.

The photos form part of the description. Like all colored stones there is a color variation that occurs in different lighting conditions both inside but also outside, even the time of day can make the color of a stone appear a little different. We do our best to show colors as we see them. Color perception is highly individual and some people can perceive more colors than others, also colors can appear somewhat different on different screens and devices due to variations in screen hardware and device display settings.

Comments:
Unfortunately, in the last two decades many rubies seen in modern jewelry and rubies set as replacements in vintage and antique jewelry have had the color induced by high temperature heating in chemicals such as beryllium. This is called diffusion treatment and includes surface diffusion, bulk diffusion, lattice diffusion and deep diffusion. There are also sapphires treated heavily with beryllium treatment to imitate rubies. In recent years rubies have been clarity enhanced by filling any fissures or cracks with molten lead glass, sometimes the glass is colored as well, with time the filler falls out or goes cloudy ruining the stone. Polymer resins can be used in a similar way. Oftentimes this clarity enhancement may appear on certificates as the note(s) “residues” or “minor residues” or perhaps “foreign substance”. Colored coatings can be applied to the back of a ruby. These treatments are unacceptable and such treated stones are of very low value. We do not sell rubies with these treatments. These rubies in this bracelet are natural unheated and untreated as they were mined and are of extra fine gem quality.
