A custom hand made one of a kind 1950s natural untreated green jade and diamond 18K gold ring.

This exceptional mid-century ring is a custom hand made piece which is one of a kind. The central untreated lovely vibrant green jade cabochon is semi transparent to translucent with delicate variegated color similar to jardins in an emerald. It sits in a beautiful setting which is reminiscent of butterflies and bows that is set with the sparkling white diamonds.

The jadeite cabochon weighs 3.05 carats.

The beautiful jadeite jade in this handmade vintage ring is untreated. Apart from normal cutting and polishing it is as mined. Untreated jade is immensely more valuable than modern treated jade.

The total diamond weight is 0.50 carat (VS/SI, G/H)

The total jade and diamond weight is 3.55 carats.

The ring measures 11/16" long down the finger and is 5/8" wide (18.1mm x 15.5mm). It rises 1/2" above the finger (12.4mm).

Inside the shank an 18K stamp meaning solid 18 Karat gold, this confirmed by testing. It weighs 6.02 grams.

This beautiful ring is a size 5 3/4 USA sizing. It can be resized within a range.

As jade forms there are areas that are more crystalline than others as a natural part of the growth of the jade - this is similar in all natural untreated precious gem materials.

In this precious untreated A Type jadeite jade cabochon we can see some eye visible beautiful natural crystalline inclusions in the jade. These inclusions aren’t flaws but are similar to jardins in an extra fine gem quality emerald. Jade takes millions of years to form in the earths crust, in that time the growth of the jade is influenced by the minerals in situ and other factors- the resulting features as with all precious gems are beautiful and delicate and attest to the untreated natural precious gem.
