A spectacular mid century modernist diamond ring in 18K white gold by the famous Swiss maker Piaget.
This artistic asymmetrical design is so typical of mid century European high jewelry. The whole setting reminds me of a beehive and right at the center sits an exceptionally white sparkling diamond set in a concave setting with a mirror like polish. The diamond is reflected across the whole surface of the setting.
The central diamond is an entirely colorless D/E/F SI2 0.90 carat pear cut and is securely claw set. It measures 7.80 x 5.40 x 3.33 mm and the cut quality is excellent. The setting itself runs 11/16" along the finger and rises 1/4" high (17.5 x 6.0 mm) and is solid 18K white gold.
This is a spectacular ring in a statement style, an heirloom quality piece by a famous high jeweler and dates to the 60s or 70s.
It is in good condition and is a size 7 3/4 US.
I just love the impact this Piaget piece. It feels wonderful on the finger and always gets noticed!
A bold piece it would make a superb gift for a woman or a man. Or a fun addition to your own collection of course.

The photos form part of the description. Like all colored stones there is a color variation that occurs in different lighting conditions both inside but also outside, even the time of day can make the color of a stone appear a little different. We do our best to show colors as we see them. Color perception is highly individual and some people can perceive more colors than others, also colors can appear somewhat different on different screens and devices due to variations in screen hardware and device display settings.
