There are 64 links in total each set with two round brilliant cut sparkly diamonds then alternately a single beautiful deep blue gem quality natural sapphire. The links have such a pretty color contrast between the deep blue and white. I just love the extra detail of the fine diamonds being set in white gold and the fine sapphires set in yellow gold. It's these extra details which make this feminine piece so special and so refined.
These stunning untreated sapphires have an lovely color match throughout which is so hard to achieve in such unusual and unique shades of unheated untreated sapphires! Like all unheated untreated sapphires they look a little different in different lighting conditions. The blue is deep and sultry with a slight greenish element in some lighting conditions - a deep slightly teal blue, in more subdued lighting a darker shade of blue can be seen. In some lights they appear a little more deep blue in others more slightly teal blue- this effect is really beautiful. This is a very unique and very pretty natural sapphire bracelet, classy, elegant and refined whilst still so feminine and pretty.
The gorgeous unheated untreated natural sapphires themselves are round faceted cut and weigh 13 points each for a total sapphire weight of 4.42 carats in total.
In total there are 0.68 carats of G/H/I color SI/I clarity round brilliant cut diamonds.
The total diamond and sapphire weight in this heirloom bracelet is 5.10 carats.
It measures 7 3/16" long by 1/8" wide across the pretty links (182mm x 3mm). Of course the bracelet could be shortened easily by removing some of the links. If this were required any additional links could be used to make matching earrings or even just kept together with the set should future generations in your family wish for a differing length for the bracelet.
The bracelet is beautifully made with each link being hand assembled. It secures in a semi-hidden box clasp with a safety clasp to one side. On the reverse of the clasp it is clearly marked "14K 585". Testing has confirmed the same that this luxury bracelet is solid 14K white and yellow gold.
In total it weighs 10.2 grams.
It is in lovely vintage condition and is ready to gift or to wear.

Unfortunately, in the last two decades many sapphires seen in modern jewelry have had the color induced by high temperature heating in chemicals such as beryllium. This is called diffusion treatment and includes surface diffusion, bulk diffusion, lattice diffusion, deep diffusion and beryllium treatment. In recent years sapphires have been clarity enhanced by filling any fissures or cracks with molten lead glass, sometimes the glass is colored as well, with time the filler falls out or goes cloudy ruining the stone. Polymer resins can be used in a similar way. Colored coatings can be applied to the back of a sapphire. These treatments are undesirable and such treated stones are of very low value. We do not sell sapphires with these treatments. These sapphires have a very unique color and are unheated and untreated just as mother nature made them making this bracelet an ideal choice for a special sapphire engagement, anniversary or wedding gift. The unheated untreated beautiful natural sapphires make this such a wonderful piece to pass down in the family for generations to come.
