Modernist Natural Turquoise and Diamond Ring, Unisex appeal a one of a kind gold ring from the mid century period!
A fantastic one of a kind mid century modernist fine untreated natural turquoise earth mined white diamond and solid 14K yellow gold ring.
This hand made ring is a one of a kind piece which dates to the 1970s. TThe setting which holds the beautiful turquoise freeform cabochon reminds me of rocks next to the seaside. It is just perfect to compliment the chosen turquoise which does have some variation to the blue and some slight matrix inclusions.
There are 15 points of H SI round brilliant cut claw set diamonds in the ring comprised of 2 6 point diamonds and 4 one pointers. The turquoise cab itself measures approximately 15.6mm by 13.4mm by 4.7mm and weighs an estimated 7.5 carats which is a very nice sized stone. The color is vivid and beautiful and is captured quite well in the photographs.
This makes the total gem weight in this fine 1970s modernist ring 7.66 carats.
In total this ring weighs 7.2 grams. It is a very comfortable ring to wear as it is beautifully balanced so it sits well on the hand.
The face of the ring itself measures 13/16" wide by 11/16" long down the hand and it sits 1/4" high off the finger (20mm x 18mm x 6mm).
Currently it is a size 7 1/4 US sizing. It is sizable.
