Here we have a custom design handmade unheated deep midnight blue sapphire and diamond platinum ring circa 1970, total sapphire and diamond weight 1.81 carats.
The design is so unique and striking with three symbolic sapphires for eternity - the past the present and the future - set along the hand and sparkling diamonds encircling the whole! It is very elegant and dramatic!
There is max color pop with the white of the sparkling natural untreated diamonds against the deep midnight blue unheated untreated natural sapphires.
It rises quite high from the finger and makes a big splash along the hand making - it is difficult not to stare!
I haven't ever seen a ring in this design and I really love the look of the three stones set along rather than across the finger it's a lovely point of difference.
The total sapphire and diamond weight is 1.81 carats
-0.42 carats of round brilliant cut diamonds D/E/F color VS clarity
-1.39 carats of round faceted unheated untreated natural blue sapphires.
It is a size 5 1/2 US (K 1/2 Australian/United Kingdom). This ring can be sized within a wide range of sizes.
Inside the shank a platinum fineness mark is present, it weighs 6.98 grams.
The sapphire and diamond setting itself measures 13/16" along the finger and 3/8" across the hand and rises 3/8" high off the finger (20.4 x 8.8mm, 9.5mm).
I love the mysterious deep stunning blue of the unheated untreated natural sapphires! The color is something a little different and so dramatic.
This ring would make a perfect choice for a special occasion such as a unique engagement ring, or an anniversary ring. The fact it is one of a kind and handmade set with untreated unheated natural diamonds and sapphires clinches the deal - who could say no?
The symbolism of three stones representing yesterday, today and tomorrow and eternal love between two people couldn't shine brighter. What a beautiful choice for an heirloom ring.

The photos form part of the description. Like all colored stones there is a color variation that occurs in different lighting conditions both inside but also outside, even the time of day can make the color of a stone appear a little different. We do our best to show colors as we see them. Color perception is highly individual and some people can perceive more colors than others, also colors can appear somewhat different on different screens and devices due to variations in screen hardware and device display settings.
