The beautiful jadeite jade in this wonderful vintage ring is untreated. Apart from normal cutting and polishing it is as mined. These days most jade seen in modern rings has been acid treated, soaked in plastic resin and dyed. Untreated jade is immensely more valuable than modern treated jade. This lovely large 9 carat jade cabochon is delicate pastel violet in color. It is translucent and catches the light beautifully. The lovely and subtle shade of lavender varies slightly in warmer lighting conditions and cooler lighting conditions. In some lights delicate natural inclusions typical of untreated natural jadeite jade can be seen which are just lovely and attest to the fact this large lavender jade is absolutely untreated!
The lovely sunflower cluster itself measures approximately 15/16" wide (24mm) and is 1 1/8" (28mm) long down the finger and it rises 9/16" (14mm) high off the finger making a big statement when worn - actually it is hard not to stare at this beautiful large jade flower ring!
The total untreated diamond weight is 0.24 carats. These 8 diamonds are round brilliant cut, VS/SI clarity and G/H/I in color.
