This incredible vintage ring showcases an huge natural untreated precious Australian white opal weighing 13.58 carats.
The opal is spectacular with intense sparks and flashes and a predominance of red the most valuable color! Every color of the rainbow is present in intense neon bright floral fireworks!
The play of color extends not just across the top of the cab but all around the sides of the cabochon as well! There are sparks and glints and flashes of every color in the rainbow against a beautiful white body. There are so many flashes of red the most valuable color. It's a really large opal measuring 3/4" by 5/8" by 1/4" (19.0 x 15.4 x 7.1). Surrounding this precious untreated exceptional quality natural Australian white opal is a halo of 0.75 carats of round brilliant cut and tapered baguette cut natural untreated white diamonds F/G color and VS clarity.
The total precious opal and diamond weight is 14.33 carats in this heirloom ring (Opal 14.58 ct, Diamond 0.75 ctw). Inside the ring the carat weight of the opal and diamonds are engraved.
There is a Pt900 stamp, testing confirms solid platinum. This ring weighs 14.43 grams.
It is handmade with the entire diamond set basket forming the diamond halo made using traditional techniques rarely seen in rings today! The workmanship is very special indeed.
