Here we have an original circa 1800 GEORGIAN handmade 15K yellow and rose gold horse shoe pendant.
There are 0.50 carats of original double rose cut diamonds set in this darling pendant.
An original Georgian horse shoe buckle motif is set with natural sparkly rose cut diamonds, red ruby garnet top doublets and blue sapphire garnet top doublets. GTDs were often used in the era in jewelry which was worn while traveling etc.
Very pretty hand cut rose diamonds are foil backed iconic of this era.
The horse shoe buckle itself measures approximately 1 3/16" long by 1" wide (30mm x 25mm).
It is hand made from 15K yellow gold. The later bales are 9K gold for strength.
It weighs approximately 3.4 grams.
This pendant is in good condition for it's 220 years or more of age. True to being a Georgian jewel one rose cut diamond setting is darkened somewhat as the photos show this a result of the foil back changing color over the several centuries since this jewel was made. At some date in the distant past the pin was converted to a pendant with two bales added and the original c clasp removed. It presents well and is ready to wear.
A comprehensive Appraisal Report is included with your purchase of this lucky Georgian diamond pendant.
We shall ship in a presentation box ready for gifting and for safe keeping.
The photos form part of the description. Like all colored stones there is a color variation that occurs in different lighting conditions both inside but also outside, even the time of day can make the color of a stone appear a little different. We do our best to show colors as we see them. Color perception is highly individual and some people can perceive more colors than others, also colors can appear somewhat different on different screens and devices due to variations in screen hardware and device display settings.
