This ring makes a big splash on the finger with the sapphire and diamond cluster measuring 1/2 long by 9/16" wide. It has a low rise of just 3/16" making it a perfect choice for an sapphire anniversary or engagement ring as well as ideal for a luxury celebration ring which can be worn each day (13mm x 15mm x 5mm).

The sapphire here is really mysterious and vibrant of large size and exceptional quality, but even more exquisite it is an emerald cut which is rare! There is a stunning variation of color in this beautiful sapphire from a deep mysterious cornflower blue to intense flashes of pure cornflower blue as the light splashes and hits this glorious stone!

Surrounding the exquisite rare emerald cut blue sapphire are the perfect amount of white diamond accents for color contrast and sparkle. To either shoulder there are channel set baguette cuts whilst framing the sapphire top and bottom is a border of round brilliant cut white diamonds. It's a custom made ring in a very unique style!

Inside the shank there is a platinum fineness stamp. Also engraved are the diamond weight and sapphire weight respectively.

This beautiful ring has a timeless appeal. It is both geometric and very pretty. The vintage styling is reminiscent of the Art Deco period in it's elegance and grace. I adore the rare cut and color of the large gemmy sapphire it has a velvety appearance and is so exciting and beautiful in different lights!

In recent times many diamonds especially are grown in laboratories. These diamonds are diamonds but are man made. Natural diamonds are more rare and more valuable than their man made counterparts. These man made diamonds are often set without disclosure in modern and contemporary jewelry as a cheaper alternative to natural earth mined diamonds. The diamonds in this ring are natural earth mined diamonds and are untreated, which is lovely indeed.

Unfortunately, in the last two decades many sapphires seen in modern jewelry have had the color induced by high temperature heating in chemicals such as beryllium. This is called diffusion treatment and includes surface diffusion, bulk diffusion, lattice diffusion, deep diffusion and beryllium treatment. In recent years sapphires have been clarity enhanced by filling any fissures or cracks with molten lead glass, sometimes the glass is colored as well, with time the filler falls out or goes cloudy ruining the stone. Polymer resins can be used in a similar way. Colored coatings can be applied to the back of a sapphire. These treatments are unacceptable and such treated stones are of very low value. We do not sell sapphires with these treatments. The large central sapphire is unheated and untreated as mother nature made it having been only faceted and polished!

The photos form part of the description. Like all colored stones there is a color variation that occurs in different lighting conditions both inside but also outside, even the time of day can make the color of a stone appear a little different. We do our best to show colors as we see them. Color perception is highly individual and some people can perceive more colors than others, also colors can appear somewhat different on different screens and devices due to variations in screen hardware and device display settings.
