The sapphires range in color from a bubble gum pink to soft pastel pink to sparkling white then soft pastel blue to cornflower blue. There is an ombre pattern to the setting of the sapphires that is arranged on the diagonal of the sphere for maximum visual effect and dramatic impact. The colors are beautiful, lively and so pretty!

The sapphire set sphere measures 1/2" front to back and left to right. It rises 7/16" off the finger (12.5mm, 11.5mm). I adore the size of this set sapphire cluster as the proportions are delicate and a statement all at once. The sparkle of the sapphires is crazy!
The ring is stamped clearly 18K meaning solid 18 karat yellow gold, this confirmed by testing. This ring weighs 7.92 grams.

Unfortunately, in the last two decades many sapphires seen in modern jewelry have had the color induced by high temperature heating in chemicals such as beryllium. This is called diffusion treatment and includes surface diffusion, bulk diffusion, lattice diffusion, deep diffusion and beryllium treatment. In recent years sapphires have been clarity enhanced by filling any fissures or cracks with molten lead glass, sometimes the glass is colored as well, with time the filler falls out or goes cloudy ruining the stone. Polymer resins can be used in a similar way. Colored coatings can be applied to the back of a sapphire. These treatments are unacceptable and such treated stones are of very low value. We do not sell sapphires with these treatments. The sapphires in this ring are as they were mined having been faceted only.
