This one of a kind precious untreated natural Australian opal pendant is of museum quality. The pinfire opal set in this pendant is the best we have seen!
In person the fiery opal has pin point sparks of color that just jump out at you. Predominantly there are red flashes but every color of the rainbow is present in this spectacular natural opal.
I will endeavor in the next couple of days to take better photos of the dazzling sparkle of the fiery opal as the current photos don't do justice to the brilliant pin sized fireworks displayed by this jewel.
It's a vintage piece dating to the mid century era and is entirely handmade.
The setting is solid 14K yellow gold.
It weighs 4.86 grams.
Including the bale the pendant measures 1 131/16" long by 15/16" wide and is approximately 1/4" deep (46mm x 24mm x 7mm).
The opal itself measures approximately 1" long by 9/16" wide and varies in thickness being around 1/8" thick on average (26.0mm x 15.0mm x 2.5mm). Weight of this astonishing untreated natural opal is approximately 6.1 carats as estimated in the setting
It is in lovely condition and is ready to gift or to wear.
If you love the best of the best gemstones then this opal will suit. The colors and pattern of the opal are beyond rare.
A comprehensive Appraisal Report including opal assessment will accompany this lovely pendant.
It will be sent in a presentation box ready for gifting and for safe keeping.
The photos form part of the description. Like all colored stones there is a color variation that occurs in different lighting conditions both inside but also outside, even the time of day can make the color of a stone appear a little different. We do our best to show colors as we see them. Color perception is highly individual and some people can perceive more colors than others, also colors can appear somewhat different on different screens and devices due to variations in screen hardware and device display settings.
