An exceptional original natural sapphire diamond and exceptional quality moonstone antique bracelet handcrafted from 14K yellow gold. The photos in this case do not do justice to this exquisite bracelet they really don't. It's a one of a kind item never to be seen again.
In perfect condition this opulent bracelet dates to the 1930s and is handmade.
In total it weighs a substantial 53.65 grams. It is marked 14ct on the clasp suggesting it is of English origin from this period.
It measures 7 5/16" long by 13/16" wide (186mm x 21mm).
A full list of the precious gems and fine white diamonds which have been hand set in this amazing piece is as follows:
• 19 unheated untreated old European cut diamonds including 18 G VS/SI 16.5 points each and one SI 8 point on the clasp, 3.05 carats total diamond weight
• 2 natural unheated untreated Ceylon sapphires square cut each 5 points 10 points total sapphire weight
• 63 cabochon moonstones with a total weight of 58.8 carats including 42 cabochon cut natural untreated rare transparent extra fine gem quality moonstones 4.75mm x 3.22mm each 0.70 carats, 29.4 carats total weight and 21 cabochon cut natural untreated transparent extra fine gem quality moonstones 6.05mm x 3.80mm diameter each 1.40 carats, 29.4 carats total weight
The total moonstone, sapphire and diamond weight is 61.95 carats.
I just adore the amazing sheen of the the moonstones offset against the delicate filigree links and old cut diamonds. The effect is luxurious and quite ethereal. It's an absolutely astonishing piece from the Deco era which is of museum quality.
