An Authentic pair of Ancient Roman drop earrings dating to the 1st Century AD each with repousse cupid heads and an original hand carved carnelian bead.
These astonishing earrings are a rare find on the market today. They are in very good condition for their 2000 or so years of age. One earring does have a portion missing as is clearly visible in the photos. They are in strong wearable condition.
Together they weigh 5.88 grams.
As they are entirely hand made there are slight differences to the measurements of each earring. Each amazing earring measures approximately 2 1/2" long and is 13/16" wide (63mm x 20mm).
This museum quality pair of earrings are made from fine silver and carnelian.
