Here we have a gorgeous pair of hand carved shell cameo earrings with hand crafted yellow gold settings and fittings in 10K yellow gold circa 1950.
The pair are unique and beautiful, the shape especially is a unique find with most cameos being oval these are a triangle and have been expertly carved to be a mirror image pair. Each special hand carved shell cameo has a flower at the top and depicts a beautiful woman wearing a pearl necklace in profile. The screw on backs are lovely with the fittings being floral in their motif atop of the screw fittings and of course they too are handmade.
Each darling gold set shell cameo measures approximately 13/16" long by 11/16" wide not including the earring fittings (21.0mm x 17.5mm).
They are in beautiful condition without any damage or repairs and are ready to wear.
Together the pair weigh 5.2 grams. On the reverse these is a metal fineness mark which is hard to discern for 10K and one of the screw on fittings is also signed and marked to the same, 10 karat solid yellow gold has been confirmed by testing.
